  介紹和問題設置：
  “可持續發展目標(SDG)，也稱為全球目標，于2015年被聯合國采納，作為消除貧困、保護地球并確保到2030年所有人享有和平與繁榮的普遍行動呼吁。
  17個可持續發展目標是綜合的——它們認識到一個領域的行動會影響其他領域的結果，發展必須平衡社會、經濟和環境的可持續性。

  D'Source-DIC、BHU SDGs設計挑戰賽(DDSDC)作為一項倡議：
  我們一直感謝聯合國將可持續發展目標視為使我們的星球成為更宜居的地方的一種手段。
  在這種廣泛的、反思性的背景下，我們需要您集思廣益，尋找設計現在可以發揮作用的機會。我們歡迎您參加D'source-DIC，BHU SDGs設計挑戰賽，尋求創造性、創新、開箱即用的解決方案。

  About
  Introduction and Problem-setting:
  ‘The Sustainable Development Goals(SDGs),also known as the Global Goals,were adopted by the United Nations in 2015 as a universal call to action to end poverty,protect the planet,and ensure that by 2030 all people enjoy peace and prosperity.
  The 17 SDGs are integrated—they recognize that action in one area will affect outcomes in others,and that development must balance social,economic and environmental sustainability.
  Countries have committed to prioritize progress for those who're furthest behind.The SDGs are designed to end poverty,hunger,AIDS,and discrimination against women and girls.
  The creativity,knowhow,technology and financial resources from all of society is necessary to achieve the SDGs in every context’(Ref 1)
  ‘At its heart are the 17 Sustainable Development Goals(SDGs),which are an urgent call for action by all countries-developed and developing-in a global partnership.They recognize that ending poverty and other deprivations must go hand-in-hand with strategies that improve health and education,reduce inequality,and spur economic growth–all while tackling climate change and working to preserve our oceans and forests’.(Ref 2)

  The D’Source-DIC,BHU SDGs Design Challenge(DDSDC)as an initiative:
  We are ever grateful to the United Nations for conceiving of the Sustainable Development Goals as a means to make our planet a better place to live.
  Against this broad,reflective context we need you to brainstorm and look for opportunities where design can now make a difference.We welcome you to this D'source-DIC,BHU SDGs Design Challenge in seeking creative,innovative,out-of-the-box solutions.
  We encourage you to follow a design process in solving the given problem with the steps of understanding the problem,analysis and ideation(the act of coming up with several concepts)resulting in a final solution.This is with the intention that your solutions are based on sound judgment.We request you to seek guidance from your faculty and professionals in the process of solving the problem.(If you need to do user research,do restrict it to online feedback and discussions).
  To this effect,ten design problem areas have been identified.You may choose to work on one or more than one area.You also have a choice of working on a problem that you have identified.

  Participation
  Who can participate:
  This SDGs design challenge is primarily open to students and recent graduates/young designers.You may work as individuals or work as collaborative groups.As outlined earlier,students are encouraged to follow a design process in solving the problem,as well as seek guidance from faculty and professionals.
  For the present until the Corona period continues,the SDGs Design Challenge/competition will remain a strictly online affair.
  This design challenge is open to participants from around the world.

  獲獎作品如下：

  Accolades
  The winning entries will be felicitated as below:
  Winning entries will be published in three formats:(a)published online,(b)printed as a book and(c)displayed in a travelling exhibition(when we have a respite from the Corona pandemic)giving full credits to you,your team and your institution.
  The winning entries will also be made available for free to download and use as part of the open design initiative.We will promote this initiative through the traditional as well as new medias.This is with the sincere hope that the winning designs will find use in these trying circumstances.Each of the winning participants will be given the certificate of winning the‘D’source-DIC BHU SDGs Design Challenge Merit Award'along with a medal for‘Design Contribution’and will also receive a copy of the book.

  Submission of entries with design solutions need to follow the prescribed format(given below).
  The selection will be done on an ongoing,continuous basis by a panel of experts.Hence,please submit your designs as early as possible.There is no limit to the number of winning entries.
